Jukro comes from the first tea plants grown in Korea. It is the country’s only black tea, and it is truly exceptional. Originating from a little village – from which it derives its name – in Hadong county, this fine tea is harvested and processed entirely by hand. Shaped and compressed, the tender Jukro leaves crumble gently using a special pick.
Jukro has a rare intensity and unusual aromas, with a wonderful scent of roasted cocoa beans. Its rich, round and elegant notes evoke chocolate and vanilla. This tea, with its unique history and aromatic bouquet, is an introduction to the fine qualities of the greatest teas.
