Scents: very rich: highly scented, with vegetal notes (cooked vegetable), vanilla, fruity, roasted and toasted notes.
Brewed leaves:
Scents: very nice balance between planty notes, white flowers (hyacinth, lilac), mineral and fruity hints (yellow fruit, apricot).
Liquor:
Colour: clear pale green liquor.
Texture: slight astringency in attack that lines the whole mouth.
Flavour: sweet peak.
Aromas: sweet and round attack, cooked vegetable (broccoli, courgette), toasted hint, marine (crab, fish), nutty, then cut grass, metallic, very floral (white flower) and fresh fruit (peach, exotic fruit) notes.
Aromatic profil and lenght in the mouth: very good presence in the mouth since the attack, with rich aromas and a great present texture. A very delicate tea.
Our verdict:
This excellent tea was harvested in the village of Wang Cun Zhen, situated on Tiao Ling mountain (altitude: 800 metres). It has a lovely presence in the mouth thanks to its combination of textures and aromas. The delicate astringency sustains a rich aromatic bouquet with many cooked vegetable notes, which linger over cut grass and floral notes, but it is the fresh fruit quality that leaves a delicious last impression. A rich yet delicate tea!
Throughout the year, our experts travel in the tea plantations looking for the best pluckings and new, rare, delicious teas.
The fact that we travel so extensively, that we taste and buy on location has many advantages and allows us to find rare crops by looking outside the traditional supplier circuit, to taste and to share with you the harvests of small plantations, which are often hidden away.
Visiting tea estates regularly and thereby establishing long-lasting relations with our suppliers allows us to guarantee regular quality control of the teas we buy, and to continue our mission: to bring you the best quality teas and to share our travels and experience with you, while concerning ourselves with environmental issues, working conditions on the estates and the fair trade practices to which we adhere.
