Origin: Nepal
Tea colour: black tea

Dry leaves
Aspect: large, hand-rolled leaves, with plenty of attractive large downy buds.
Colour: a mixture of green and silver.
Scents: vegetal, fruity and vanilla notes, woody hints.

Brewed leaves (infusion)
Scents: a rich, delicate bouquet: pronounced floral, citrus, sweet milky and vanilla, combined with fresher, floral notes.

Liquor
Colour: a really gleaming yellow liquor with orangey glints.
Texture: the texture is both thick and astringent, giving this tea plenty of body while remaining smooth.
Flavours: sweet with a touch of acidity.
Aromas: a floral bouquet (rose, fresh floral, peony, white flowers), with fruit (fresh yellow fruit, exotic fruit) and pronounced citrus (fresh, but also preserved), sweetened with milky, vanilla aromas.
Aromatic profile and length in the mouth: a very pleasant length, rich and fragrant, with mainly fresh vegetal (green stems) and lively (herbs) notes, while maintaining subtle floral, fruity qualities.

Our verdict: A lovely plucking with plenty of large tips (the mark of a clonal plucking). The leaves have been rolled by hand. Very smooth in the mouth, this tea develops a highly fragrant bouquet right from the start, with floral, citrus and fruit notes that linger over fresh, vegetal notes.

Throughout the year, our experts travel in the tea plantations looking for the best pluckings and new, rare, delicious teas.

The fact that we travel so extensively, that we taste and buy on location has many advantages and allows us to find rare crops by looking outside the traditional supplier circuit, to taste and to share with you the harvests of small plantations, which are often hidden away.

Visiting tea estates regularly and thereby establishing long-lasting relations with our suppliers allows us to guarantee regular quality control of the teas we buy, and to continue our mission: to bring you the best quality teas and to share our travels and experience with you, while concerning ourselves with environmental issues, working conditions on the estates and the fair trade practices to which we adhere.
