Palais des Thés is committed to making its websites accessible in accordance with French Decree no. 2023-931 of 9 October 2023 relating to accessibility of products and services to people with disabilities.
To this end, Palais des Thés is implementing the following measures as part of its strategy:
Working constructively with an external agency specialising in accessibility: Tanaguru
Awareness-raising for internal teams, carried out by Tanaguru
The website https://www.palaisdesthes.com/en/ does not currently comply with the requirements of the General Accessibility Improvement Framework (RGAA 4.1). This non-compliance is linked to a number of technical criteria that have not yet been met (details below).
Test results
The compliance audit conducted by the company Tanaguru on 27 July 2025 reported a compliance rate of 32% with the criteria of the RGAA 4.1 and a rate of 33% with the criteria of RAWeb, based on a sample of 20 pages.
Inaccessible content
Certain criteria remain non-compliant to date and will be progressively corrected.
Here is a list of the main non-compliant criteria that were identified in the audit:
Criterion 3.3: On each web page, was there sufficient colour contrast in the interface components or graphical objects that display information (excluding special cases)?
Criterion 4.1: If needed, does all time-based pre-recorded media have a text transcription or an audio description (excluding special cases)?
Criterion 4.5: If needed, does all time-based pre-recorded media have a synchronised audio description (excluding special cases)?
Criterion 4.7: Can all time-based media be clearly identified (excluding special cases)?
Criterion 4.8: Does all non time-based media have an alternative (excluding special cases)?
Criterion 4.9: In the case of all non time-based media that has an alternative, is that alternative relevant?
Criterion 4.12: Can the viewing of all non time-based media be controlled by the keyboard and any type of pointing device?
Criterion 5.3: For each layout table, is the linearized content understandable ?
Criterion 5.8: Layout tables must not use elements specific to data tables. Is this rule respected?
Criterion 6.1: Is each link explicit (except in special cases)?
Criterion 6.2: On each web page, does each link have a label ?
Criterion 7.1: If necessary, is each script compatible with assistive technologies?
Criterion 7.3: Can each script be controlled by the keyboard or any other pointing device (except in special cases)?
Criterion 7.4: For each script that initiates a context switch, is the user warned or does the user have control over it?
Criterion 7.5: On each web page, are status messages correctly rendered by assistive technologies?
Criterion 8.6: For each web page that has a page title, is this title relevant ?
Criterion 8.7: Is each change of language on every web page indicated in the source code (except in special cases)?
Criterion 8.9: On each web page, tags should not be used solely for presentation purposes. Is this rule respected?
Criterion 9.1: Is the information on each web page structured by the appropriate use of headings?
Criterion 9.2: On each web page, is the structure of the document consistent (excluding special cases)?
Criterion 9.3: Is every list on each web page correctly structured?
Criterion 9.4: On each web page, is each quotation correctly indicated?
Criterion 10.1: On the website, are style sheets used to manage the way in which the information is presented?
Criterion 10.2: On each web page, is the visible information-bearing content still present when the style sheets are disabled ?
Criterion 10.4: On each web page, is the text still legible when the font size is increased by at least 200% (excluding special cases)?
Criterion 10.6: On each web page, is each link (whose status as a link would not otherwise be clear) visibly distinguished from the text around it?
Criterion 10.7: Is the focus visible on each web page, for each element receiving focus?
Criterion 10.8: For each web page, is hidden content intended to be ignored by assistive technologies?
Criterion 10.9: On each web page, information should not be conveyed solely by its shape, size or position. Is this rule respected?
Criterion 10.11: For each web page, can the content be presented without resorting to vertical scrolling for a window with a height of 256px or horizontal scrolling for a window with a width of 320px (excluding special cases)?
Criterion 10.12: On each web page, can the text spacing properties be redefined by the user without any loss of content or functionality (except in special cases)?
Criterion 10.13: On each web page, can the additional content that appears when focusing or hovering over an interface component be controlled by the user (except in special cases)?
Criterion 10.14: On each web page, can additional content that only appears via CSS styles be made visble using the keyboard or using any pointing device?
Criterion 11.1: Does each form field have a label?
Criterion 11.11: In every form, are input controls used appropriately (except in special cases)?
Criterion 11.13: Can the purpose of an input field be determined in order to automatically fill out fields with the user's data?
Criterion 11.2: Is each form field label relevant (excluding special cases)?
Criterion 11.5: In every form, are fields of the same type grouped together, if needed?
Criterion 11.9: In each form, is the title of each button relevant (excluding special cases)?
Criterion 12.6: Can content groups present in several web pages (such as headers, main navigation bar, main content, footer and search bar) be jumped to or avoided?
Criterion 12.8: Is the tab order consistent on each web page?
Criterion 12.11: On each web page, is the additional content that appears when hovering, focusing or activating an interface component accessible via the keyboard, if necessary?
Criterion 13.9: On each web page, can the content be viewed regardless of the orientation of the screen (portrait or landscape) (excluding special cases)?
