This Grand Cru comes from Wugong Mountain where the rich soil and mist is perfect for growing tea plants. The tea is harvested in September and is set aside with fresh flowers for 3 days before being carefully sorted.
This extraordinary Grand Cru exudes a poetic aroma, as the fragrance of this mysterious flower mingles with the deep notes of black tea.
Appearance: fine dark brown leaves
Colour: amber
Texture: powdery
Notes: heady orchid fragrance, honeyed, zesty
Prepare this tea warm:
With the teapot or the tasting set: 3’45 minutes in water heated to 180°F.
With the gong fu cha: multiple infusions during 30-40 seconds.
Also delicious iced:
Steep 8 g in 50 cL of water at room temperature 30 min. Remove the tea leaves and refrigerate.
Rare and ephemeral, teas identified as Grands Crus by Palais des Thés are the result of alchemy between a tea plant variety, its terroir and the talent of an artisan grower. Meticulously plucked, processed and sourced in the most respected tea gardens, our Grands Crus unveil unique flavours that reflect the refinement of their origins.
