Description

Huo Shan Huang Ya is one of the most famous yellow teas. Its name means “golden buds of Mount Huo”, referring to the delicate harvest and its place of production. It comes from the region of Anhui. Great expertise is required to produce this tea. The highly precise harvest – or imperial harvest – consists solely of one bud and one leaf. After being withered for several hours, the leaves are placed in a dry heat to slow the development. They are then dried in several stages, during which the piled leaves are lightly oxidised, giving them subtle golden glints typical of yellow teas.

A sublime yellow tea with fruity, floral and vanilla notes that develop against a rich, smooth texture. A rare Grand Cru.
