A Nepalese first flush green tea of rare intensity.
This spring Grand Cru comes from La Mandala, one of the smallest tea factories in Nepal, nestled in the heart of the village of Fikkal. Bathed in pure air and preserved by high altitude, this rich Himalayan terroir offers the ideal conditions to bring this exceptional tea to life.
A true jewel of the 2026 first flush harvest, this Green Emerald green tea reveals meticulously harvested and rolled leaves and fine buds, unveiling all its freshness.
Developing intense notes of cooked vegetables, fruits, and flowers, this spring Grand Cru boldly evolves toward complex animal nuances, before drawing out into a mineral finish. The whole profile is magnified by a mouthfeel that is both fine and astringent.
To prepare this tea hot:
Using a tasting set or teapot: 4 minutes in water at 75°C (170°F).
To prepare this iced tea:
Using a teapot or carafe: steep 8 g of leaves in 50 cl of room-temperature water for 45 minutes. Remove the leaves and place in the fridge.
Rare and ephemeral, teas identified as Grands Crus by Palais des Thés are the result of alchemy between a tea plant variety, its terroir and the talent of an artisan grower. Meticulously plucked, processed and sourced in the most respected tea gardens, our Grands Crus unveil unique flavours that reflect the refinement of their origins.
