Description
A handcrafted, one-of-a-kind matcha bowl
Created by Paris-based ceramicist Céline Gavage, this stoneware matcha bowl is wheel-thrown and shaped entirely by hand. Its glaze evokes damp woodland undergrowth, moss-covered tree trunks from the Ardennes forests.
With its soft, organic and refined lines, it is perfectly suited to preparing matcha, whether enjoyed plain or as a latte.
The ceramic artist: Céline Gavage
Céline Gavage worked for several years at Palais des Thés’ headquarters. During this time, she developed a deep appreciation for the world of tea and a strong sensitivity to ceramics, which play a key role in the tasting experience.
Today, she has turned her passion into a profession and now works from her studio in Montreuil, near Paris.
The Lisière du Nord collection
The Lisière du Nord collection is directly inspired by the landscapes of the artist’s native Belgium. Discover the Foam mug, reminiscent of the ever-changing colours of the North Sea, as well as the Lichen cup, created in the same spirit as the matcha bowl.
