This Ichibancha comes from Kirishima, Kagoshima prefecture. It was harvested on 15 April from tea plants which grow on volcanic soil. This Grand Cru is produced from the Saemidori cultivar.
A highly round tea which develops an intense umami taste as well as vegetal, marine, fruity and buttery fragrances.
In order for this tea to develop its full aromatic complexity, multiple infusions should be performed in a Kyusu or a Shiboridashi. It is also possible to prepare it as an iced tea (infusion with ice cubes).
This tea is grown organically and certified by Ecocert, an accredited independent certification body.
