Description
This tea is harvested in Kirishima, Kagoshima prefecture, from the Saemidori cultivar. Gyokuro is a shaded tea: three weeks before harvesting, the tea plants are deprived of light to allow this tea's umami taste and highly smooth texture to develop.
A highly fresh and vegetal Gyokuro Shincha with an oily texture and the pleasant vivaciousness of spring.
This tea is grown organically and certified by Ecocert, an accredited independent certification body.
