The Seigaiha Washi Box
Crafted using Japanese artisanal techniques, our Washi tins are hand-covered with traditional mulberry paper.
This tin features the Seigaiha pattern, Japan's emblematic wave. First appearing around the 8th century during the Nara period, this motif is a powerful cultural symbol representing harmony, protection, and tranquility. The green background adds a fresh, spring-like touch to the design.
A precious gift for yourself or others
In the Land of the Rising Sun, "wa" means Japanese and "shi" means paper; "washi" therefore literally means "Japanese paper." However, "wa" also signifies harmony and peace: washi is also the paper of harmony.
Choosing a washi box honors both the tea and its recipient; it is a true jewel box adorned with symbolic patterns, making it a remarkable and lasting gift that is essential for preserving the freshness of all teas.
Two Washi tin sizes
Our washi boxes are equipped with a double lid to ensure the perfect preservation of teas and infusions. They are available in 2 sizes: approx. 100g and 150g.
Dimensions:
100g = 12.4 x 6.5 cm
