This Ichibancha is made in Kirishima, Kagoshima prefecture. The tea plants are harvested in April, and grow in volcanic soil in the south of Japan. An exceptional Grand Cru which demonstrates the wealth the Asanoka cultivar has to offer.
This highly gentle sencha is infinitely round and its fragrances are vegetal, marine, buttery and vanilla.
In order for this tea to develop its full aromatic complexity, multiple infusions should be performed in a Kyusu or a Shiboridashi. It is also possible to prepare it as an iced tea (infusion with ice cubes).
This tea is grown organically and certified by Ecocert, an accredited independent certification body.
