A high-altitude spring harvest
Located in the Mirik Valley, the Gopaldhara estate is one of the highest in Darjeeling, reaching altitudes up to 2,100 metres. It is on these peaks that this spring Grand Cru is harvested from clonal tea bushes.
This spring tea reveals a whirlwind of fruity fragrances and delicious zesty and toasted notes, expressed through a round, delicately powdery texture.
To prepare hot tea:
Using a tasting set or a teapot: 3 minutes and 45 seconds in 85°C (185°F) water.
To prepare iced tea:
Using a teapot or a carafe: infuse 8g of leaves in 50cl of room temperature water for 35 minutes. Remove the leaves and refrigerate.
Rare and ephemeral, teas identified as Grands Crus by Palais des Thés are the result of alchemy between a tea plant variety, its terroir and the talent of an artisan grower. Meticulously plucked, processed and sourced in the most respected tea gardens, our Grands Crus unveil unique flavours that reflect the refinement of their origins.
