In Japan, the most prestigious teas are the Ichibancha, which means "first harvest". This tea is a Sencha Ichibancha from Kirishima in Kagoshima. It was harvested 350 metres above sea level, and was produced from the famous Yabukita cultivar.
An excellent spring flush with vegetal, butter and floral notes. It has a round, very silky texture with a pleasant umami taste.
This tea is grown organically and certified by Ecocert, an accredited independent certification body.
