In Japan, the most prestigious teas are the Ichibancha, which means "first harvest". This tea is a Shincha Ichibancha, from the famous Sencha-producing region of Shizuoka. This tea is produced in Ryogôchi from the Yabukita cultivar.

This fresh, umami Sencha boasts a pleasant powdery sensation in the mouth. Its intense vegetal and marine notes develop into a buttery, floral base.
