In Tibet, the legend goes that an order of monks prepared a blend of tea in secret, made from plants and flowers. After the leaves underwent a few days of maceration, they were carefully sorted and left to one side.
This mysterious alchemy transformed tea into gold, giving Tibetan Monks Tea its exceptional fragrance.
The creation of Tibetan Monks Tea
As Mathias Minet, co-founder and creator of the flavoured teas at Palais des Thés, explains, the inspiration for this tea came from the mysterious, little-known fragrances that were reveals by the age-old blends made by Tibetan Monks. While searching for the secret alchemy that was able to offer immediate tranquillity, he created this highly aromatic blend combining green and black tea leaves with flower petals (jasmine, marigold, etc.). Thanks to its highly floral notes, this tea invites you to escape to faraway shores and get lost in your thoughts, at least for as long as your tea break allows you.
Try the wealth of aromas this uncommon floral blend has to offer, available in loose leaf or tea bag format, and set off on a unique sensory adventure.
Suggestion of preparation
To prepare this hot tea:
Add 6g of tea leaves to 30cl of water and heat to 80°C. Steep for 3 minutes.
To make iced tea:
Take 16 g of tea leaves per litre of water at room temperature, leave to infuse for 45 minutes, remove the leaves and place in a cool place.

My favourite tea, ever. I've never come across anything similar before. The smell of it is as important as the taste. I can only liken it it to Shalimar, the legendary perfume. It has a scent profile that is oriental, but not exactly spicy. To me there is vanilla in there as well. It is floral, but not sweet, it has a strong character, but it is never overbearing. It is beautiful both hot and cold. This tea is an absolute star.

Quite a pleasant type of tea. It has a soft, unobtrusive taste of vanilla and herbs. It is best drunk from a teapot, in small sips, in silence and reflection.
