Description
Tai Ping Hou Kui, or literally ′′king of the Tai Ping monkeys′′, is an exceptional tea grown in the majestic yellow mountains of Anhui, China. Its worldwide renown is the result of an extraordinary production process that requires meticulous expertise for each leaf.
Delicately rolled by hand, the leaves are placed one by one on a cloth-covered frame, then gently flattened with a small roller. This unique artisanal technique, combined with an extremely limited annual production, make it one of the most sought-after teas in the world.
This immaculately produced spring green tea reveals highly complex vegetal, floral and nutty notes. A very rare tea!
In order to bring out all the aromatic complexity of this tea, we recommend multiple infusions using the traditional Chinese Gong Fu Cha method.
