This organic tea is produced from Shan Tuyet tea plants. It is a Mao Cha, which is a loose dark tea. As the climate in Vietnam is very humid, this tea’s fermentation has been slightly accelerated.
It is interesting to compare it with its versions 2021 and 2022.
A sweet Grand Cru with a richly aromatic palette with notes of minerals and undergrowth and a creamy texture.
Appearance: similar to forest leaves during autumn
Colour: light and dark brown
Notes: nuts, mushroom, wood
Notes: undergrowth, mushroom, fruity finish
Colour: bronze
Texture: smooth
Flavour: sweet, a touch of acidity
Notes: undergrowth (mushroom, lichen, damp wood), mineral (damp earth, damp stone), floral-fruity finish (jasmine, apricot)
With the tasting set or a teapot: 4 minutes in water heated to 195°F.
With the Gong Fu Cha: infusions during 30-40 seconds.
Rare and ephemeral, teas identified as Grands Crus by Palais des Thés are the result of alchemy between a tea plant variety, its terroir and the talent of an artisan grower. Meticulously plucked, processed and sourced in the most respected tea gardens, our Grands Crus unveil unique flavours that reflect the refinement of their origins.
